  • Distinguish between different domains and levels of cultural competence
  • Identify areas of strength and development related to cultural competence
  • Describe how cultural competence influences change within an organization
  • Identify ways to enhance cultural competence within your agency
  • Identifying where they are on the Cultural Competency Continuum
  • Create environments whereby provider and consumer understand the other's culture and how it plays a role in the type of care received  
  • Recognize variations in attitudes and values of different cultures.
  • Practice forms of communication which considers cultural differences.
  • Effectively evaluate your cultural competency program.
